Arizona Memorial - (Oahu), Hawaii

I headed to Pearl Harbour and the Arizona memorial. It's free to do the tour and there was a 20-minute presentation before we boarded the ferry. Food and snacks were surprisingly cheap too at the snack bar.

It was sad to see the watery graves of these ships. Not too surprisingly, there were almost no Japanese tourists here. The memorial was an eerie skeletal white structure that sat atop of the sunken battleship.

I caught the bus again headed north. The bus took me along Hawaii's south shore for a while before heading up north through the center of the island. We came out to the North Shore of Oahu, where the waves were big, pounding the shoreline with power and the bus dropped me off at Shark's Cove.

I continued on north by foot, walked along a very nice trail along the shore. I finally came out on the beach south of Banzai tube and watched surfers perform their tricks and acrobats in and out of the waves. They were very interesting to watch and I sat until sunset where the surfers finally tired out and they left also wet and cold, but happy. I caught the bus after tat and headed back to the hotel.
