June 27 & 28, 2001 - Kho Phi Phi, Thailand

| Having a drink and a chat with Aput at the Amsterdam Bar. |
I don't remember what I did these two days - pretty much just the same for the next few days by spending time snorkeling in the afternoon and then going out to dinner and watching movie with the guys, and then watched Wimbledon at the Amsterdam Bar and chatting with the locals.
Dirk has been drawn more and more into Khan, a Thai masseuse. Michael hooked up with a pommie girl the first night and has not hung out too much with our group. Ling from the Viking Café has been getting friendlier with our group and even came out drinking with us a few times, but has always backed out the last minute for activities other than the pub. We think she's married. Aput, another Thai girl has been very touchy feely with me and have been trying to get closer and closer to me many times. I wondered how genuine her feelings are especially when I see her doing the same thing with other people... heh...
I ate dinner with Nick, an English bloke from London and we went to the Amsterdam bar to watch tennis together. Aput was throwing herself at anything that breathes. We chatted for a while and were talking most of the time when the power went out. We sat there in candle light and chatted a little longer before a couple behind us started talking to us.
We found out that they are from the London area as well, so like a typical British fashion, they started to chat about their homeland extensively. Toby works at a mortgage bank and Lynne works as a travel agent. Lynne was being nice and made sure I wasn't getting left out of the conversation.
They found out that we're backpackers so they bought us 2 huge bottles of beer each and invited me to look them up and even stay with them when I'm in London next. It was a nice and unexpected meeting, which made it even nicer. They left and I bid farewell to Nick after that. I think that sums up the 2 days.
