Wallaby at the camp - Kakadu National Park, Australia
We got up at 6:30 and had breakfast before heading out again. The drive took us a while and we stopped by a billabong for lunch before heading into Kakadu. We took a long hike in the middle of the afternoon and reached a waterhole several hours later. The water was too cold for me to swim, but there were a lot of interesting fish in the water.

Another plunge pool - Kakadu National Park, Australia
I'm not sure how they all got there but there were at least 6 varieties of fish, some of them more than a foot long swimming in the clear water. After a long hike back, we went to see some rock arts and then back to a different camp. I talked to Aimee, a Cuban American from Miami and Melissa, a Canadian from Toronto. Those two were probably the ones I got along the most. Not much else happened though.

Rock Art - Kakadu National Park, Australia
We saw some more rock arts that morning and then went to another billabong for lunch. After that, our group split up and half of us went to the Adelade River for a Croc cruise while the other group continued on for 3 more days down to Katherine. I kinda wanted to upgrade and go with the group but I was getting tired of traveling.

Croc grabbing for dangling meat - check out the vertical leap! - Kakadu National Park, Australia
The Croc cruise was OK - the dangled some meat for the croc to jump out of the water to eat. Even though these are wild salt-water crocs, they were semi-trained, as were the hawks that flew around the boat for meat scraps. I forgot to mention that we had a different driver for this segment - Barry was a big fat Aussie that listened to country music. He was an alright bloke.

We stopped by the Harry's Springs to see some fish in the water and take a rest before heading back to Darwin. Our small group headed out for dinner at the Vics. I saw Joerg for the last time (I hope) while he chased me down the street. I even tried to walk a different way but to no avail.
