The weather was overcast but we managed to keep our spirit up. We went to some of the lookouts we missed previously like the Grotto and London Bridge and they turned out to be excellent sites, especially the Grotto. What was added as a bonus was we saw a school of at least a hundred dolphins feeding offshore. It was a really neat sight. We finally saw the 12 apostles and took in the spectacular views of the rock formations.

The sun broke through for segments of the trip and it only drizzled slightly and not too often during the rest of the trip eastward. We found out that the car dies when it's running on petrol because the carburetor might be flooded when he switched it from gas.

We continued on to Lakes Entrance and checked into the YHA which turned out to be nice and clean also. After checking in, we went to Pinocchio's for a lasagna dinner. There was a friendly Aussie sitting outside of the joint and started talking to me before I even went in. He was past middle age, probably after 40 or 50 and a bit plump but very friendly.
We chatted for a while and I went in to order and Jens, who ordered already, went out for a smoke. By the time I ordered and went out to join Jens, the guy whom I was talking to already gave Jens a small everything-pizza for free. He was and he said that us backpackers have to watch our dollars and he was just helping out.
