GeoCard #1135

1/10/2011 – This beautiful little red frog is about an inch long. They were used as a hunting tool by the native Indians. The poisonous substance under the frog’s skin is smeared onto palm needles. The Indians then blow these needles out of a hollow tube onto intended targets, such as monkeys, small mammals or recalcitrant tourists.
