Feeding Butterfly Fish

10/28/2009 – Why do rich people always get the best part of the island? I just need to look like I belonged. I strolled through the luxury resort of The Rarotongan without any problem with my nose turned up high and my hand waving like the Queen of England to the passing greeting of other guests and workers. The fishes at the beach are used to being fed by the diners at a beach-side restaurant that happens to seat people right over the shallow waters.
Hundreds of Breems and these large white and yellow butterfly fish patrolled up and down the shore looking for food. Here’s me feeding a school of butterfly fish with a piece of bread. I have to admit that it’s an amazing experience to be so close to these beautiful fish.
